Atkinsons Bullion & Coins to open Edinburgh office in UK expansion drive
The online precious metals retailer is launching an appointment-only Edinburgh office to serve customers across Scotland and the North of England as part of a wider UK rollout.
New Scottish base for bullion retailer
Atkinsons Bullion & Coins is opening an appointment-only office in Edinburgh, extending its reach into Scotland and the North of England as part of a broader UK expansion.
The new site will let customers collect orders, drop off precious metals for sale, discuss storage options and meet with the Atkinsons team in person, services previously only available through the company’s existing operations.
Growth from family jewellers to bullion giant
Atkinsons Bullion & Coins was founded in 1990 by Paul and Keeley Atkinson as a single-family jewellery store. It has since grown into one of the UK’s largest online precious metals retailers, reporting turnover of more than £330 million in the 2025/26 financial year.
Part of wider satellite office plan
The Edinburgh office is one of several satellite locations the company plans to establish across the UK, aimed at giving customers greater in-person access to its services beyond its main base.
The opening is due to be announced publicly on Friday 2 October. Founder Paul Atkinson is expected to be available during the first three weeks of October to discuss the Edinburgh launch, the company’s expansion strategy and the precious metals market.
