Who she is
Natalie Burešová is a Senior Advisor at The Oppenheim Group UAE, the Dubai office of the Los Angeles brokerage known from Selling Sunset and the firm’s first office in the Middle East. She advises private buyers and investors on off-plan and ready property across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with a particular focus on people buying from abroad: clients in the UK, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the wider Gulf who need the market explained before they commit to it.
Born in the Czech Republic, she studied anthropology and spent formative years in London before moving to Dubai. She has said that understanding people matters as much as understanding markets, and her practice reflects that: fewer transactions, more time spent on what a buyer is actually trying to achieve.
The Dubai Property Index
In October 2026 she launched the Dubai Property Index, a free weekly measure of what homes in Dubai actually sold for, built from the Dubai Land Department’s public register of sales rather than from asking prices or developer brochures.
The index reports the median price per square foot and the number of sales registered each month, community by community, together with the change since January and February 2026, the last two months before the war with Iran reached the city. It also breaks the market down by bedroom count and by named project, ranks the communities and projects where the most money went, and explains in plain language how each figure is measured. Every residential sale in the register is counted, duplicates and implausible records are removed, and medians are used throughout so that a handful of trophy sales cannot move the line.
It is rebuilt automatically every week with no manual step between the register and the page, published in English and in Czech, and sent as a short email every Monday to subscribers. The data behind each table can be downloaded. A set of guides alongside it answers the questions buyers in the UK, the US and central Europe most often ask, from fees and tax to whether prices are falling.
Background and languages
Natalie speaks Czech, English and Slovak. Her academic training in anthropology, and the years in London that followed it, shaped an approach to property advice that starts with the person rather than the product. She works across Dubai’s established communities and its new launches, and across Abu Dhabi’s island developments, and she is candid about the fact that the register’s numbers sometimes argue against a purchase.
