How we charge, what you get, and what we will never sell.
One rule
News is free and partner content is paid. The two are kept apart. Paying us never buys news coverage, and being covered as news never costs anything.
News coverage: free
If you have news for Edinburgh business, send the release and the photos to editor@edinburghbusinessnews.co.uk. If we judge it to be news, we write it ourselves from the facts you give us and publish it, credited to you. We decide what is news. We do not promise coverage, and nothing you pay affects whether we cover a story.
PR agencies and press offices
We do not charge PR agencies, press offices or in-house communications teams. Sending us releases, photos and story ideas is free, there is no fee to be added to our contact list, and we will never ask an agency to pay for coverage. The paid options below are for companies that want to publish their own labelled content, not for agencies sending news.
Partner content: paid
If you want to say something in your own terms, we publish partner content. It is written by us to our standards, labelled Partner content at the top, and stays on the site permanently.
Partner article
£250
A permanent article on Edinburgh Business News about your company, product, event or announcement.
Partner article with social
£400
The partner article, plus two posts from our LinkedIn page that tag your company page where we can verify it.
Signed column
£350
A signed piece of 600 to 800 words under your name and title, edited by us, labelled as partner content.
Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT. Domain Farm Limited is VAT registered, and VAT at the standard rate is added to the invoice.
What every partner piece includes
- A clear Partner content label at the top of the page, so readers know it is paid.
- Links marked as sponsored, as search engines ask.
- Writing and editing by us, to the same standards as our news. You can check the facts. You do not approve the wording or the angle.
- Your photos, credited, or none. We do not use stock images that do not show the subject, and we do not use AI-generated images.
- A permanent page. We only change it to correct a factual error.
What we will not do
- Sell news coverage, or guarantee that any story will run.
- Publish unpaid links, guest posts or link exchanges.
- Publish claims we cannot source, or promise rankings, traffic or reach.
- Present paid content as news.
Audience figures
Edinburgh Business News is a new title. We will not quote audience numbers we cannot show you. Ask and we will send the current figures from our own analytics before you decide.
Display, newsletter and other products
Display advertising and newsletter sponsorship are not available yet. When they are, the rates will be published here.
Payment
We invoice before publication and the piece goes live once the invoice is paid. Invoices are issued by Domain Farm Limited, company number 13544286, Preston, Lancashire.
How to book
Email advertise@edinburghbusinessnews.co.uk with what you want to say, who it is for and any photos you can supply. We will reply with a draft brief and an invoice for your approval.
